ARCs, or Advanced Reader Copies, are advanced copies of books sent out by publishers to readers with the aim of garnering early reviews and support for books before their official release. Publishers and authors provide ARCs for free in good faith that the recipient will review the book prior to publication.

In an industry where margins are already slim and authors’ earnings are minimal, selling ARCs may lead to fewer ARCs offered to journalists, reviewers, and influencers. For these reasons, PangoBooks prohibits the sale of unreleased titles. If you see listings for unreleased titles on PangoBooks you can alert our team at any time.

PangoBooks has a policy of removing ARC copies when we receive requests to do so from the author or publisher of the title. PangoBooks reserves the right to remove ARC listings (and any other listing) from our platform for any reason. To submit such a request, please contact us at support@pangobooks.com.

In general, if you are unsure about whether or not you can sell an ARC, we recommend not listing it. Often these books are good ones to consider donating instead.
