Once you’ve printed the shipping label and affixed it securely to your package, you have several drop-off options that are accepted by PangoBooks and USPS.

🚪 Approved drop-off locations

  • Best practice: Take your package to any local USPS Post Office and hand it to a clerk or use a self-service kiosk.

    • When receiving a scan from a clerk or self-service kiosk, keep your receipt in case of any issues.

  • When a clerk or self-service kiosk are unavailable, you can deposit your package directly in the self-service bin inside the Post Office.

  • If the book fits and the label is correctly applied, you may drop it into a blue USPS collection box.

  • Many mail carriers will also take packages from your personal mailbox directly, and in other cases, you may need to schedule pickup (which may incur a fee).

    • Please note that those packages picked up from mailboxes may see a delay in tracking, and we recommend letting the buyer know via messages.

However you ship your sale, ensure to mark your sale as shipped in the app once the package is in the custody of USPS so the buyer knows it is on its way!

✅ Best practices for drop-off

  • Make sure the label is fully visible, has no old labels underneath, and is taped securely.

  • Do not use USPS Priority Mail branded boxes if you’re shipping via Media Mail. That can cause surcharges or delays.

  • If you used a self-service kiosk or deposit box, take the receipt or a picture of the package for your records.
