Why won't my barcode or ISBN scan when creating a listing?

Why do I get an error message when scanning my book's barcode? The app can't find my barcode or ISBN.

When creating a listing on the app, if you scan a book's ISBN and are met with an error message like the one shown below, please try clicking the blue "Enter ISBN" button to manually enter the ISBN. If, at that point, our system is still unable to find information for the ISBN, it may be that we don't have a record for that ISBN in our database. In many of these cases, we have information on the book in general but, because many books have numerous ISBNs for different editions, we may not yet have a record for the specific one you are trying to scan/enter.

If this happens when creating a listing, please contact us at support@pangobooks.com and provide the ISBN, and we will be happy to take a look! You can then complete your listing by skipping the barcode/ISBN step and entering details manually. Once you send us the affected ISBNs, we will update the information in our database wherever possible.
